If you have not completed a Recognized Education Program, as listed in Schedule 5 of the CHCPBC Bylaws, you may be required to complete an equivalency determination before applying for licensure with CHCPBC.

For internationally educated optometrists, the equivalency determination process is the credential assessment managed by the Federation of Optometry Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FORAC). Applicants can contact FORAC directly by calling 647-746-2050 or emailing credentialing@forac-faroc.ca. You must apply directly through FORAC and complete the assessment process before applying for licensure with CHCPBC.
