In accordance with the Bylaw Consultation policy, under CHCPBC Bylaws s. 2.45, the College is proceeding to bylaw amendments for Part 6 and Schedule 5.

Part 6 – Licensure and Schedule 5 – Recognized Programs

The College is proposing amendments to establish a list of Recognized Programs for school psychology.

Currently, all applicants for school psychology are assessed through equivalency determination. Based on application and decision data since school psychology was regulated, the College is proposing to introduce a list of recognized education and practical training.

The change will replace repetitive individual reviews and improve transparency, consistency, and predictability for applicants. The list is established based on programs with the greatest demonstrated relevance and approval history.

The school psychology licensure panel has reviewed the proposed list and is recommending these bylaw amendments.

The amendments will be available for feedback until December 9, 2026, at 23:59 p.m. Pacific Time (35 days).
