The new legislation means BC’s health regulatory colleges must prepare bylaws that reflect the requirements of the HPOA. CHCPBC will post our draft bylaws for public consultation in the coming weeks.
The Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR) will launch a single licensure examination in 2026. The Canadian Physiotherapy Examination (CPTE) will replace the current two-exam model. For a limited time during the transition phase, applicants may pursue either the two-exam or single-exam pathway.
