Practice Support
Practice Support
CHCPBC’s professional Practice Advisors provide an important service for registrants by providing confidential advice related to regulation (e.g., standards of practice, bylaws, and code of ethics), and by helping to increase registrants’ awareness of regulatory requirements and College resources to support decision-making in practice. Practice Advisors may suggest alternate agencies or resources for information depending on the details of the question. Advisors cannot provide legal advice or direct resolution of specific clinical issues. Additionally, Practice Advisors may also respond to queries from members of the public, other health professionals, and related organizations.
CHCPBC has profession-specific Practice Advisors for each profession regulated by the College. When you submit a query, it will be directed to the advisor for the profession to which your query relates. Queries can be submitted via the Contact Form (on the form, under “Subject of Inquiry,” select “Practice Support”), by email at practicesupport@chcpbc.org, or by phone at 1-877-742-6715 (press 3 for practice support). If you are submitting a query by phone, please let us know when you will be available for a return call. Professional Practice Advisors generally work for the College on a part-time basis while maintaining their own practice, so please allow five business days for a response.
