Certified practice
CHCPBC no longer requires registration for dietitians’ three restricted activities. Under the Health Professions and Occupations Act framework, there are full restricted activities, limited restricted activities, and limited restricted activities if certified. To align with this framework, the requirement to register restricted activities at renewal, and to indicate registration status on the public register, has been removed unless a restricted activity is limited and requires certification. BC was the only jurisdiction in Canada that required an additional layer of regulation for restricted activities that have been considered entry-to-practice for several years.
