Profession-Specific Webinars
Profession-Specific Webinars
CHCPBC licensees are invited watch webinars about the Ethics and Practice Standards that now apply to all professions regulated by CHCPBC. In the webinars, the College also speaks to changes to restricted activities as defined in Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) regulations (where applicable).
In recognition that the degree of change from the legacy standards to the new, harmonized standards was not the same for all professions, CHCPBC offers the webinar series with tailored content that is most relevant to licensees.
Although licensees are invited to watch any of the webinars, which took place June 8-19, the focus is on the professions listed below. The professions are grouped according to the degree of changes from the legacy standards to the harmonized standards, as well as the nature of questions we have received thus far.

Videos of the webinars are available on our Vimeo and YouTube pages, links to the videos have been distributed to licensees, and the videos are also embedded below. Also see videos from the HPOA Licensee Webinar Series on the HPOA Videos page or on Vimeo or YouTube.

About the Ethics and Practice Standards
As of April 1, 2026, one harmonized set of Ethics and Practice Standards, under the HPOA, outlines the requirements for all licensees in all professions regulated by CHCPBC.
Standards of practice outline the minimum level of acceptable performance and professional practice required of CHCPBC licensees to ensure safe and ethical care for the public. Licensees are required to know and adhere to CHCPBC standards. The standards are enforceable under governing legislation for professions regulated by the College.
Prior to April 1, 2026, seven sets of legacy college standards, codes of ethics, and codes of conduct established under the Health Professions Act set out requirements for the nine professions regulated by CHCPBC. The legacy standards and codes were retired as of April 1, 2026.
